Driving with Miss Cindy

Miss Cindy A. Pellicane is originally from Long Island, New York. She learned to drive with her dad on the busy streets of Flushing, Queens, and frequently drove throughout Long Island and into New York City.

 

Over 35 years ago, she moved to Virginia to attend Regent University. From 1991 to 1999, she taught at John Yeates Middle School in Suffolk, VA. For the past 25 years, she worked at Hugo Owens Middle School in Chesapeake, VA—devoting a total of 34 years to public education. During that time, she taught students with Learning Disabilities grades 6–8, Regular Ed 7th-grade Math, Pre-Algebra, and Read 180.

In June 2024, Miss Cindy retired from the classroom—and stepped into the car. She is excited for the opportunity to work with both teens and adults, using her gifts and talents to help new drivers gain confidence behind the wheel.
